I use AVG Anti-Virus. Its the best. I got a virus and AVG Blocked it from running.

Avg doesnt protect you from rootkits.

it will say Avast 4.8 in the bottom left of the new little box. on the box it shows a CD. click it, 2 things pop out of box, make sure thing at top is on thorough. then, click the thing above CD, then one under, in files put in Check in C:\ file, or what ever your drive is. then it should search itself ----------------------------------------------------------------- 10x better than AVG

AVG doent work for me... it blocks all my downloads... I stick with Avira Antivir 6.

why do poeple say AVG sucks? it uses very little RAM, if any, straight foward, updating is simple, and has features the others don't have

Wow man, that is a really good way to lose your respect as a technician. Even if AVG could remove anything, its such a heavy piece of software that anyone with a lower performance level machine could hardly use thier pc afterwards

if u have rogers internet , your in luck. i think their anti-virus is da best remover for all threats and new threats , i been using it for 3 yrs. (their teamed up with CAA and Norton)

I now use Avira too. One advantage Avast had over Avira(free) was the Web Shield, able to block malicious sites.

"Your Right There Murry!" as the old mad use to say! Yep, it is better that AVG, and any anti-virus I have ever had. I put a virus on my mums computer and her PC Tools anti-virus never got it off so I had to for her, and then I put it in my computer, and Anti-Vir got it off! (I nearly drowned in my own words then!)

I HAD Avast!, on my host, and a VM and I put 10 viruses on the VM, and Avast! picked upm one of them! So now I have anti-vir!

but i bet its better than avg free. i dunno how avg runs but i know avira has a better database.
